Value of Omega - a project
« on: 21 May 2009, 22:01:07 »

OK I am thinking of a project, possibly an early facelift 2.0 (if really cheap) and doing it up (sort all those little issues).

Would it be worth doing?

What would it be worth with SGI LPG?

Mainly for raising some money.

2.6 CD is staying I have spent over £1200 in the last year on it!

I've been thinking around the same lines.... but then start looking at Calibra's instead..... truthfully I ought to be looking at some diesel heap for going to the stables and towing a box with, ideally something 4wd that's worthless!

Our X plate facelift 2.0 CD auto 135000 miles FSH MOT Tax etc sold last September for £820 so in my uneducated opinion I would think it isnt worth it, unless you get your project car for next to nothing

And I was thinking of a long term S3 Land Rover restore and dropping a Range Rover transfer box and a VX V6 into it.

Scary is my daughter will be allowed on the road in 4 years 4 month :o (16 then)

A car is 17 years, unless full DLA mobility and you can drive a car at 16 years.

Sticking a mig engine in a seris 3 landie has to be the daftest idea yet.

Go for a 3 litre diesel and tweak it then you have all the power you need and more.

Oh and it will have a value if you should ever want to sell it ! ;D
