Plasma v LCD v LED
« on: 25 June 2009, 19:40:22 »

From reading different things on the forum it seems Plasma is a no-no  So from LCD and LED screensthen which is the most viable on a long time basis as my TV is on a good 16 hours a day+ 7 ays a week.

As above, start at 42" or more and Plasma urinates on an LCD.

However, LED rules the roost and they are cheap enough if you are serious about what you look at.

LED is a type of backlight fitted to some LCDs instead of CFLs

As to Plasma better than LCD - well I paid more for my LCD than a plasma would have cost.

I have a W series Sony

Just because you paid more, it doesn't mean you had the better deal.

Just because you think it's good, doesn't mean it is!

Don't read the above statement the wrong way, you have just made a very valid point that people need to be aware of........what looks or sounds good to one, will not necessarily look or sound good to another.
