My thoughts on this are mirrored on the DK blog (minus the swearing of course  ;))

On the general theme Nick, a lot of people don't seem to realize how much this profligate bunch will eventually cost each and every one of us.

We, each one, will pay dearly for the privilege of having this crowd remain as the discredited government they are for the remaining months of their mandate.

Their fiscal rule seems to be;

How to pay off £1billion in debt - simple - borrow £1billion.  Problem solved

The last I heard was that the UK's credit rating had been down rated, so eventually borrowing will become even harder and more expensive. :'( :'( :'(

Nope. I think I'd leave the swearing in. ;)

I think Brown knows his days are numbered and he's trying to leave as big a pile of sh1te as possible for his successor to clear up. >:(

Got any children? Well the answer is their children (when they have them).

The problem with large numbers is that most people cannot comprehend them so they concentrate on the small stuff like the cost of a replacement bus shelter roof.

We could bin the replacement of Trident and save well lets say £40 billion. (at least 3 new bus shelter roofs and a new waste bin on the corner near the bank!.
