fiber optic lines stolen..

today my wife called me in job and here are the news:

fiber optic lines in my area and some connection elements for communcation is stolen  :o :o :o and now no adsl and no fix phones >:( >:( >:( >:(

b?st?rds.. >:(

god knows how many days will pass for them to fix.. :(

and wife added with  :D : it means no OOF for you night time   :( :(

That is bad news Cem! :'( :'(

How do they get away with it without someone spotting them?  Surely guys winching a load of cable from manholes or from poles would be noticed? :o :o ::) ::)

I know there have been many thefts in the UK of copper cable that is actually in use! :o :o  Why they don't kill themselves.........and do us all as favour..........I just do not know. :P :P :P :P

dont know have value or not  :-/

but all I know is they let us without any communcation >:( >:(

my mother have problems in heart ..so I keep some phone lines accessible everytime.. and shes not good with mobiles  :-/

Low value, but some contractors contracted to lay new ones may try to 'borrow' existing ones - seen that before :o

Don't know your phone system, in UK, fibres are rare for local loop.

Copper sounds more likely (if it was UK), and more valuable

and now in job they cut the electricity as they repair somewhere else working in ups  need to close >:(

Sounds like she may have put a contract out on the fibre optics  ::)........check the bank account Cem :y ;D
