Cryptosporidiosis warning.

Sadly, I have been suffering with cryptosporidiosis for nearly three weeks since (simply) splashing my face from an old outside-tap on a neighbour`s farm on a hot day.
It`s a horrible illness (I`ve lost over 25 Lbs. in weight over the last 3 weeks) and I just wanted to remind everyone of the importance of observing hygienic precautions where any 'water' (be it drinking or swimming-pools/ponds/rivers etc.) is concerned.
I`m always very careful about hygiene around the farm and yet I still got caught out by a simple splash of water on my face; so, please be particularly careful during this spell of hot-weather, guys!

Very sorry to learn that Debs, and I hope you recover soon.  Only you could catch something with a name that most of us cannot even spell, let alone say :-* :-* ;)

A timely reminder though of the dangers of 'dirty' water in hot weather conditions especially. 8-) 8-) :y

Thats sounds awful Debs and I hope you are feeling better soon :-*

I don't suppose you could point me in the direction of your friends tap as I am willing to put up with the pain for a 25lb weight loss :D

Thats really bad luck Debs.  I know there is not much I can do but if you need anything medical give me a shout and I'll see what I can provide (alcohol gel, etc)

Sorryy to hear your unwell and hope you feel better soon. I'm amazed that when I was a child I didn't catch anything nasty from water I remember swimming in the Shropshire union canal during a heatwave the water was the colour of drinking chocolate! :o
