are u telling me u never done anything wrong mate its not right but we all do it at some stage nobodys perfect
Struggling to translate that sentence.  If you are saying what I think you are - sorry, I don't speak 12yr old :P - then of course I have done silly things in my time, and been pulled for it.  Rather than say the cliche "The filth should be out catching criminals" I realise I am breaking the law, and accept it.

I fail to see the using the phone one.  Its only a bloody ringing noise, it does stop if you ignore it ;).  If you REALLY cannot resist a ringing phone, a full car kit is peanuts, and one of those gayboy bluetooth headsets is even cheaper (like £10-£15 from Tesco).

There really ain't any kind of excuse whatsoever.

Not having a dig at anyone - we all do silly things sometimes  :-[, but seems senseless to get caught out for the phone....

I simply do not use my phone when driving, work sometimes ring me but know to ring for a long time or I will ring them back when I can park safely. A call would mean needing pen and paper anyway, mostly. :D
This is since I got pulled some (10) years ago, I explained who I was and that I was dealing with an emergency regarding a family that they know well.  Whilst sitting chatting, she was just giving me a warning, a call came over the radio, guess who got there first :D No not me ::) ::)

Hey, I wasn't starting a row ;D :y

You can still drive, thats good in my book :y

Last time I had 'a friendly chat with PC Plod' after he stopped me, there was no accident, I was just being a bit naughty (and probably increaseing my chances of an accident).  I still feel he was right to pull me and give me a dressing down - I deserved it, as I know the rules, but was not obeying them.

As a complete aside, can you stop the text/sms speak, the forum guidelines ban it for a reason ;)

i think i hit a nerve here but i think they THE COPPERS should have better things to do than keep me at the side of the road telling me wot i did wrong when i no wot i did wrong for 40 mins. when they should be out catching kiddie fiddlers drug dealers and the rest that my opinion not that i no much  :y

....a very distorted and misconceived view if I may say so richy :( :(

Many officers are already doing just what you are suggesting regarding 'kiddie fiddlers and drug dealers'.

Many other officers however are obliged to deal with the irresponsible use of motor vehicles by individuals such as you.

Individuals who should have full control of their vehicle and whose attention should be given to controlling it with all due safety on the public road. :y

And the whole saga has made you think about losing licence, and hopefully thats enough to perhaps make you think (and all of us think for that matter) before doing things :y

I recently lost my Motorola bluetooth ear piece that cost me over £50 :(

Saw the item in the link below and thought "Ok, its a copy, but what the heck, it's worth a try for that price !"

Delivered within a week, and works just like my genuine Motorola. No need to have it switched on and on your ear all the time either. If a call comes in, flip it open, pop it on your ear, and the call is answered automatically in a couple of seconds.
Comes with a charger and a UK spec adaptor plug.  :y

I feel I owe OP an apology - my posts have come across like I'd drunk too much last night  :-[

Which is probably true  ::)

What I was trying to say is for the sake of very little money, its an awfully silly way to risk losing your licence.

Sorry if it came across in any other way last night
