CSA - Anybody Know Some Answers?
« on: 08 July 2009, 12:01:51 »

Having problems with my step sons biological father with regards to maintenance payments. In 13 years we have managed / agreed without third party interference. However I'm afraid we may now have to contact the CSA.

2 questions that someone may be able to help with:

1. Can maintenance payments be backdated?

2. If the child is in Full Time Education, what age can payments continue until? (end of University?)

Thanks

Gareth

1. Yes

2. 18

Also the rules have recently changed so that the claimant (EG usually the mother) can now cancel the CSAs involvement if alternative arrangements are made, although obviously that isnt really applicable in your case mate.

Best of luck with it.
