When is it too early in the day to start drinking?
« on: 01 August 2009, 16:10:57 »

Assuming you're not an alcoholic, and it's the weekend or a day off, When do you feel that it is reasonably acceptable to have your first of the day? (assuming you do of course, and you're not driving)

A good Bloody Mary around 1130hrs gets Sunday off to a very acceptable start otherwise 1230hrs for a pre-lunch drink and, depending on the company, onwards and upwards 8-) 8-) 8-) :y

The ice is important to modern drinking techniques. Try it. :y

In the 80's a guy I used to know worked permanent Night Shirt on the buses, from 8,pm to 6.am he took the drivers to different depots and did a taxi service to pick up the 1st round of early drivers.

At 9am when he arrived home, he enjoyed a large meal and downed a bottle of wine.  11am be trundled off to bed.  He worked 7 days a week and short shifts over the weekend to get drivers to work.

Every one used to complain at him drinking at 0am.

But as he protested, his 9am was after work, like our 9pm was after work after a day or even afternoon shift.

So I think if you dont have a drink problem then the time you start is a personal choice, and hey, the pubs open for lunch. ::)

I once had a job like that. It was fun cooking my "evening" meal, drinking & playing music while your neighbours were leaving for work.
   All things are relative. 8-)
