anyone know of how to get the password from this has we've lost it an had to get one of the computers on the network reformatted

I've done this using wireshark before. Ensure that it's set up to use a plain text password and then sniff the POP3 / SMTP traffic.

I'm sure you could probably find some software to retrieve the password from the Outlook configuration too.

Not quite sure which password you mean? ISP/Exhan ge server password or the personal folders password?  :-/

Its the password that will let me log in to recieve emails


also

does anyone know were i can find the product key for installing microsoft again has my gf removed the label from her pc ::) i heard it was in the system properties but can't see it :-?

belarc will retreive product key that windows/office etc installed with.  This does not necessarily mean you can install with that key on significantly different hardware.

For email password, contact your email provider

thats the problem they've changed that many times that there not to sure anymore which one has the password i rang three diffent ones up an all told me they didn't have it ::) got a brillant program called rockxp4 that found the product code :y

Either your email is done via your ISP, or you pay somebody else to provide email.  Either way, dead easy to track down who can reset your passsword
