CV'S..........
« on: 09 August 2009, 15:39:18 »

Trying to be a smart arse, found what was supposed to be a free CV website, put all the info in, then ended up having to pay £17 to download it :-X. Only to find that all my job history was in the wrong friggin order >:(.... Anyway have ended up re-formatting the whole lot onto a word CV document, which I could've should've done in the first place >:(.........An e-mail has been sent to the website :y

Thing with CV's keep them to 2 pages max, there are a lot people applying for jobs, so yours needs to be quick and easy to read.

Someone will be reading 100's of them, and they quickly need to find what they want.

I agree with what Tunnie says.  they read page 1 and put on one of 2 piles.

Baically sell yourself on page 1, then back it up on page 2 when the final selctions are sorted for interviews. :y :y

I originally had it on two pages, but after reformatting it, goes onto a third page, I ain't that bothered about a third page, I am happy with it. As streamlined as I can get it, so that'll do.

Should get that rent boy job no probs, and be working on a street corner near STMO soon ;D ;D ;D

I have looked at many CV's over the years, and I have to say some have been total crap and some pretty good, and even after sifting through them and selecting the list for interview, when you actually carry out the interview some folk have just not either done their homework or know nothing about what they have applied for, as stated in their applications. Even when you prompt for answers your looking for you don't always get them. Those applicants don't get very far :y
