Sky Charges
« on: 10 August 2009, 07:42:40 »

Just challenged my bill.

Was paying £19.50 for my old subscription., Upgraded to HD and kust had £35.14 removed from my account.

Explanation is that £19.50 + £9.75 is my package cost and the rest is catch up on charges for the outstanding days.

Then came the from September your Shy bill will be going up by £1.

I wouldnt mind, but I dont get the sky magazine and I cant even access my account on the interenet.  :-/

Its well known that Sky's business plan calls for £45 per month per subscriber.  So bet your backside that they will pump up prices somehow to achieve that

It was because of the continual price hikes, changes of service provided, extra charges for this, that and another, plus numerous hassles in dealing with then that I gave Sky the elbow many years ago. ::) ::)  Never regretted it!! :D :D ;)

About two years ago I took the entertainment/kids/lifestyle etc. package at £26. Free installation. Box was in within two days, took half an hour. I then added sport and movies, up to £43 (few quid more now).
I can honestly say I have never had to contact them about anything. No problems at all.

Why on gods green earth would you consider paying for any form of TV whatsoever when it's free if you know what forums to be a member of?
