just heard on the news that 5 people were arrested for violence after an 80-strong mob laid seige to a house in  washington, wearside for 12 hours

apparently the slack-jawed yokels thought they were attacking the house of a paedo (it wasn't - so an innocent family had to move out - to be honest, they're probably glad)

here's a tip:
if your first instinct is to grab a pitchfork and torch and chase someone out of their house at least have the decency to check your facts (better yet - if you know anyone who can read, ask them to teach you - it may help in the longer term)

Wierd half of my family live there and I only live round the corner from there and no one has heard anything :-/ also nothing in the news upto now :-/

One of my neighbours was accused by some local yobs, turned out they had the wrong person they were arrested after attacking him (and coming off worse for it as he ain't a small bloke)

no zulu - and i couldn't see anything on bbc website - but it was a news bulletin on bbc radio5 earlier

unless its an old story and some of them were being sentenced today - which is why it made the news?

Hardly a new occurence, the same happened in Pompey many years ago when the locals failed to spot the difference between a pediatrician and a nonce peadophile
