Ermmm well £580k is about to be spent on demolishing four utility rooms on a purpose built travellers site, get this the damage was caused by the existing folk on the site, some Concils spend 100's of thousands dog this, funny bit is plant goes missing, you name it unless it's bolted down, or taken off site each day, it will be gone  8-)

they couldn't live there without the owners of the house putting it up for lease to the council tho - so why would the owners object? they're guaranteed the money every month 

capitilist society - a socialist society ironically would have affordable housing for all and this wouldnt be an issue

yep zulu - just making the point that if you are driven by greed, and we all live in a capitilist society, then you sell out to the highest bidder come what may - i'm not judging just observing it made me laugh....maybe its just me

...whatever the system there will always be losers, but on the point highlighted you are quite right, this is one of the most distasteful aspects of the capitalist based society and on that basis, concern for others receives the well-padded elbow in favour of the unhealthy desire to profit at all costs

...for the most part I think that's a fair assessment BJ -  generally the emphasis always seems to resort to the individual and their specific needs - the very unwelcome trait that devauled the socialist ideal from the get-go
