At 1x, about 75m

its my friends computer, she has just bought a brand new LG drive, and is using the nero software that came with it. attempting to burn a 700mb AVI movie, that has been converted to DVD format (vob files etc) as nero wouldnt burn the avi direct. have confirmed that the DVD files will play, by opening the VOB file in powerDVD player thingy

16x is too fast ---- I limit mine to 4x -- obviously takes longer but get fewer coasters. Average time ( without verifying) 10 - 12 mins.

I would say it is a software issue, Nero is poo to be honest, I use convertxtoDVD much quicker, could also be a codec issue if they haven't been updated, google k-lite and install the full pack :y

Never ever ever ever ever install those gay codec packs. They are bodged together by idiots, and install too much conflicting junk.  Windows media interface is flakey enough on its own, without hacked about junk being thrown on it.
