Hotmail issues
« on: 01 September 2009, 18:12:21 »

We have a few hotmail accounts, basically stuff I cannot transfer easily.

Outlook express is now broken.

Any idea what I can do to access them?

Would it not be possible to access the hotmail messages via the new form of "Windows Live Messenger" using your previous hotmail login and pass.?

online hotmail is easy, but offline can be a PITA.

That software WLM I have seen before and uninstalled on a previous PC - thought it was quite ugly and clunky

If you need proper POP3/IMAP/SMTP email, use a proper POP3/IMAP/SMTP mail service ;)

Dump the accounts and use GMail which does support pop3/imap/smtp (albeit on weird ports), and will work with your existing domain.

According to a web hosting site i use, Hotmail is the only email service they constantly have problems with trying to send emails from their email server.

I use yahoo.co.uk for one email account I have and never have problems with Outlook receiving and sending emails through it  :y

I struggle to send emails to Hotmail, despite having all the SPFs set up correctly - their spam filter seems to only allow spam through
