I dont like chillies, but ages go we  ( myself and half Italian girlfriend) used tto make spag bol in bulk.

We allway made it in bulk with a load of mince put into boiling water to get rid of the fat.  Then as I sorted the mince and veggies she used to sort the herbs out  and prepare the suace, then when it was all about to come together we added the Garlic.

We experimented with that for a while with varying the ammount of cloves.

Final recipe was complete with 7 Whole (Large) Garlics crushed into the suace at the last minute.  Could never understand people's complaints, we could'nt smell the gerlic on each other.  ::)

im more of a medium although i love a hot chilli pizza. i did have the hottest hot curry once in  preston. a phall. stopped a quarter the way through it. i just wanted to cry my eyes out and scream. and my ring was totall destroyed the next day, pure agony never again   :( :( :(
