Yep, I think James posted this as a serious concern, and rightfully so.  There are all sorts in all professions, as we often hear. There may be another side to the story though, she may simply have needed money :-/

You have hit the nail on the head mate.

Initially, my first reaction was - it's not appropriate, for a PC to engage in such an activity - regardless of any mitigating circumstances.

But equally, I don't know anything about her life, and reasons for doing so - it's not my job to be a moral judge.

As an afterthought - selling sex, or buying sex, isn't in itself illegal (at least in E+W) - so I wonder if the situation would still be quite so bad, or if she would still be in so much bother, if she had not used her uniform for her "extra curricular activities"  :-/

This week people like her will be villified, and next week they'll be banging on about how we should legalise prostitution to fall in to line with the rest of Europe.

Every single last one of us that has taken a woman out for a meal & a drink has technically paid for it, the only difference in this case is she's smart enough to get straight down to business.

I fail to see the connection betwen being short of money and becoming a prostitute.Millions of women the world over are short of money but have more dignity and morality to turn to prozzying.
Its an esy way for women without morals to earn money, end off.If it was a matter of it being the only option to stop her kids starving to death it would be admirable,but that doesnt happen in this country so doesnt apply.
