they will get you in the end, they have your bank account numbers. they caught my x wifes neighbour, 40 grand she had in the bank while claiming, 4 kids,lot of money each week. had to pay it all back.

So the only reason they caught her was because of her sheer stupidity then.

You would be suprised at what info they can look into ::)

Believe it or not, they don't have the power to look at your bank account without your consent.

When they do want to see your account, they turn up and ask you there & then for the last couple of statements....and if you're dumb enough to keep £40K in the same account they pay your money in to, then you deserve everything you get (not for being a cheat, just for being too f**king stupid)

Oh they do, they can go directly to the bank and the bank has to provide the information, my wife does it all the time

What's with this Benefit "Cheats" ?  It's Benefit Thieves.
Benefit is something one gets if entitled to it, and if entitled to it, it is rightfully yours.
Theft is the taking of something that is not rightfully yours.
So the accepting or taking of benefit one is not entitled to is theft.

probably that or someone grassed her up, everyone knew she had money, on benefits and driving a nearly new merc about.

Absolutely spot on, and just the same applies to all the MP's who have taken our money under the guise of "expenses".

The only difference of course is that they haven't spended £1000's on adverts in weak attempts to vilify themselves for doing EXACTLY the same.
