..........of the U.k. yes,but when Tony is president of Europe and Cherie is first Lady,I have no doubt that she will consider herself infinitely more important than the monarch of one of her husbands smaller constituent countries. This may well happen and if it does we can be absolutely certain that the world HAS gone completely mad,and there is unlikely to be any way back to sanity. :'( :'( >:( >:(

The more the unelected try to rule, the greater the risk of the citizens anger growing, with a feeling of being disenfranchised from the democratic system along with their rights of self determination, leading to eventual rebellion and revolution!!

All great historical changes of ideology have been preceded by events that have challenged what is.  We are now possibly facing such a seismic shift.

May the politicians and those unelected officials who push on regardless now consider the consequences of their actions that are against the spirit of our liberal democracy.

I dont believe that the people of this country will ever really revolt tbh,I sometimes wonder if they put something in the water to stupify us all, but actually they use x-factor/football etc as a kind of opium.

...not as fanciful as many would suggest Ms Zoom, there is a very real danger in a degeneration of the accepted norm, especially when many lose faith in the existing arrangements :y

We are now possibly facing such a seismic shift.

.......correct again Ms Zoom this shift is occurring and only when the effects begin to be felt by the populace at large will the enormity of the consequences become obvious. ;)

.....sadly I don't think they will as globalisation seeks to replace democracy with diktat - for everyone's own good of course. ::) ::)

This attempt on the liberty of the individual is real, very real and the latest example of this brazen behaviour is the drivel spewed forth by our very own Prime Minister just yesterday, as the basis of such an attempt will be formulated around this type of alarmist message – and others of similar content naturally. >:(
