I use avast, others use AVG.
I found AVG ate too much resources for my liking

I have been using AVAST for some time on my machine and have never noticed any problems, doesn't seem to eat too much system resources...

I have been using "Comodo internet security" on all my families PC's (combination of xp and vista) and it works well for me and covers both AV and firewall

I'm currently using Avast.

I tend to switch between AVG and Avast when I have problems. But recently I have noticed that AVG has slowed down PC's I have installed it on.

So just Avast for me now. If you want to buy AV software, Kaspersky is the best IMHO. Never buy Norton/Symantec AV, they are SPLATWARE. Takes over your system, installs so much junk, it makes Windows walk through treacle.

The best piece of software to come from Norton/Symantec over recent years is the Norton/Symantec Removal Tool. It does what it says it does, removes all Symantec products in one swoop, Winner.

Couldn't disagree more, have Norton 2010 installed, brilliant anti-virus software. :y

Are you on plant earth? Norton is the biggest pile of shite, its the worst Anti-virus software ever, it cripples the performance of any PC, its too aggressive, heavy, resouce intenstive peice of crap. Not to mention all the back doors they leave in the software, you might as well put this on your computer, it will do a better job:

Your entitled to your opinion, and I'm entitled to mine.

I don't find it resource heavy, and have never had a virus in all the years I've been using it.
