Todays list of people
« on: 20 October 2009, 20:36:36 »

Forgetting the usual idiots I have to deal with day in day out, todays list of people sent to piss me off include:

o2 - morons cut my phone off.  They sent me an email a week ago, but to an email address they made up for me on o2.co.uk. Knowing I wouldn't know the details of this, they emailed me the email details to that email address. Tossers.

Dabs - Brand new bit of kit is faulty. They won't swap it, it has to go back to them, they test, then send out replacement. 7-10 days. Pillocks.

HP - Proliant server has a suspected hardware fault. I had the serial number, but stupid bint wanted Product ID.  She said they were 24/7 so could take details any time tonight. Get home, phone up HP, spoke to someone else, sadly she couldn't speak English, so promptly hung up after I gave her some details. Called up again, and the bloke said I was only allowed to report this server fault between 8 and 5.

I stopped using ebuyer regularly as they are also appalling. As are scan, aria, bluepoint and all those other crap outfits.  Sad state of affairs when I decide to choose Misco :o

This sod just powers down and back up randomly.  Only logs are iLO2 logs - server reset, power removed, power applied.  Been trying all last night and all tonight to copy a 40G file to it, rather thing  >:(

Yeah, this is fresh out of the box.  I expect better than 'post it back, and we'll let you know in 7-10 days'.

There is a bit more history behind this particular order, in that they managed to spectacularly screw it up in the first place - and screw up my brothers credit card in the process (which was a bummer for him, as he was on hols in Italy last week, wondering why his card no longer worked ::))

I've been there today too. Cobbled together a working machine with all my old data in the end, fortunately, but the errant machine which spat its' dummy out, is sitting in the corner, wondering if I'm going to repair it, sammy it, or practice my welding on it. [smiley=evil.gif]

i find the list of things, people and organisations that actually say and do what they should reliably grows smaller by the day. BS and incompetance are the norm. IME....

A simple task via phone call turns into 3 or 4 other phone calls later on to sort it out. It is rife. However each f*** up is an opportunity for compensation.

I earned 10 quid today, when my bank sent me 40 odd letters of 6 years worth of statements, when i actually asked for a list of 6 years of bank charges. Muppets.
