Just remember Debs, If you pull the trigger and they get it in the arse you get done, however if you pull the trigger and blow thiers balls off it's self defence.

Why?

Sinmple, 1st one they were running away and not attcking.

2nd was you shot in self defence, just aim below the belt.  (and fit a lazer site) ( that alone might make the turn and run.)

If I lived on a remote farm and had chickens/ducks/lambs (dependant on the time of year) and thought I heard a fox after them, I would be reaching for the four/ten.....

Sounds like a brilliant way to get burned out/shot/stabbed/beaten to a pulp etc.

Depends how prone you are to foxes entering your farm yard, I suppose.....

I don't supose the old PIR/Floodlight coupled with a recording of several hungry dogs would do any good ?.

Thanks chaps! :y

I`ll have a mooch about at the local waste-reclamation site tomorrow and see if I can find an old CRT portable.....the Maplin adapter is a tad overbudget for me at the mo. ;)

The nocturnal "goings`on" here have got me worried and the Police seem 'too busy' (and far-away) to be bothered helpful with rural-crime concerns.

Point of law question: If I were physically threatened by nocturnal (farmyard) intruders, what would be considered 'reasonable force': as is said to be used in self-defence of personage or property?......could I (deliberately) set the dogs on them?......or perhaps, 'rock-salt' them with the '.410'?

As a lone woman - you would get away with shooting them, so don't worry

While I can understand your compassion, it is still legal to do more than just give the fox a flesh wound  ;)

I have a CCTV monitor here that is spare, getting it to you might be a bit of a challenge though.

It has minimal screen burn (of a certain London underground station) which is not noticeable when a live image is on it.

Got a pile of Sony cameras (sadly no lenses) which need testing (hence why the monitor ended up in my possession) an if a few of them work, you would be welcome to them.

Sadly, about 6 weeks ago, I binned a load of (not partularly great) cameras, and a cctv recording system. Sods law :(

That said, reused the existing monitors on the newer system, so still wouldn't have had a monitor for you.
