Kwik-Fit
« on: 04 November 2009, 18:38:40 »

Told by a friend Kwik-Fit were doing MOT's if booked online for £35.00

So booked the time I wanted, arrived 15 mins early  took the car without
a wait - passed - on my way home, after a reasonable wait.  :y

Not like last year the local VX dealer to ages to do it  >:(

I've always rated Kwik-fit-honest, quick, helpful.
Not always the cheapest first off, but will price match and do good gaurantees-like on the brake pads which they will replace for free (even when worn out!) as long as you own the car!

Never had a problem with them at all  :y

Hate to disagree but when my sons Mazda needed the middle and back box doing they quoted me a price, got a better quote from tyreweb, they said can't get it any lower I suggest you look elsewhere.
Not a great way to get business which they didn't.

Maybe it down to who is in the branch and locations vary?

I do remember going elsewhere a few times over the years down to price, but mostly they have got the work.  They were also the only garage to work out the alternative system that could fit the Perodua Nippa and Kelisa-Daihatsu patterns  ;)   No-one else did  :(

I like them  :y

like anywhere else you are either lucky or unlucky - last year I took my car to a garage offering MOT's for £19.99 and it passed, I checked the MOT online when I got home and the b*st**d had put advisers on totalling around £1500 worth of work - took it somewhere else this year and it only needed a track rod end!

I remeber a friend taking his Fiesta auto to a Ford main dealer because the brake servo had gone, the service manager told him that the brakes weren't working because the auto box was faulty and would cost nearly £2k to fix!!

Kwik-Fit service is very branch dependant.

There are good ones about... They're just few and far between ::) ::) ::)

If you don't get suckered into some of the "questionable" sales techniques then the brakes deal is a good one :y :y
