I hope the culprit is found (wishful thinking) and punished (slap on the wrist most likely) and that you get back on the road with the minimum of hassle.

I think its the bloody jobs worth council.....they never have been good at painting road lines....the least they could have done is ask you to move it first.....

Well She had the rozzers round, not much joy there unless they find someone with paint all over their shoes. She can't really think of anybody She has upset either, so I can't see the perpetrator being caught.
The insurance have arranged for someone to collect the car and leave a courtesy car so She won't be without wheels, although at a push She could have of gone to the heliport and picked up my car.
She did say that some of the paint is emulsion but some may be gloss She's not totally sure. Just need to make sure they get rid of it all properly as it will have run down all the natural drain points possibly clogging them up.
In the end it will cost us the excess on the insurance

And with good reason.  Why is it that there are so many mindless vandals around now?  And, more to the point, why is nothing EVER done about it?  You have my sympathies and I hope that the claim on your insurance does not increase it too much next year.

I hope you get it sorted out. It looks as though it could be a relentless task removing it all withput removing the original green.
An adulterous neighbour (no implication inferred - HONEST!   ) fell foul of the same fate a number of years ago. There's still yellow paint in the gutter. He need 4 new tyres too though.
