Kids! (with aspergers)
« on: 28 November 2009, 18:16:41 »

It's our anniversary today and our ten year old son told us we had to go for 'a romantical meal'. As far as I can gather, he got this from Horrid Henry.
We said it might be difficult to get a babysitter, but he said that would be no problem as he was coming with us :o
Earlier he asked what time we were leaving. 'About half six' I said. 'Oh no. i can't wait till half past six for my tea. Five o'clock I want it'.
'OK, five o'clock.'
We left the house at four fifty, got to the pub at five. Ordered the meal, scoffed it and were back in the house for ten to six.

Some rather 'romantical meal'. ;D ;D

Autism, Aspergers, it's pretty much the same deal.

Those afflicted are very much "literal"....so once you tell them that X happens at Y time....it has to happen or it really does cause them anguish.

Not explaining that to you of course, just one particular individual that thinks they know it all and gets chopsy if they don't like what they hear.
