For working dogs like staffs you need to check the ingredients of the dry mix. Always always check that the first on the list is meat or meat meal. We have an 19 month old boxer and feed him on Chudleys Working Crunch. This stuff is great, 15kg bag for £11 :y

Mix with cooled boiled water and it gravy's up on it's own.

The ingredients go down in size order. 4% chicken is very little. The Chudleys ours has is 7% beef and 4% chicken.

If the hounds hungry, it will eat.  Give the food bowl a half hour or so then lift it and bin it.  Bet the fresh meal of food is inhaled 24 hours later.....   ;)

As my mum always used to say "It'll eat it before it's front feet."

Thirded :y

Mine sometimes turns her nose up at her snap, because there's no goodies mixed in. It stays there until she eats it, be it a day or so. Don't pussy foot around with them ;)

ANY animal will eat WHATEVER it comes across if it's hungry enough.

If it's a gravy mix it's best avoided to much salt is a bad thing as said it's best not to pander to much to her she will eat if she is hungry.if all else fails natural stock i.e chicken will do the trick. It's also advisable not to vary her normal food, and if you have to do it gradually or you may have to clear up the result! :o
