Interesting thread. It was said by the medical profesion after my accident at the age of 10 that I would not see my 21st birthday, well so far I have doubled that and a 3rd of the way through the next 21 years.
Not saying life is ok for me, as I have my problems, but as KW says, times up when it's up, untill then I carry on regardsless. and that is probably what has got me through.
I had a chain smoking great granny that saw 103, a granny that saw 97 and was the life and soul of the party till the day care service dropped her and broke her arm and she gave up on life as she felt she had lost her independence,
Lost my Mum at 66 to bone cancer, she had smoked heavily all of her life, she even said the fags would get her, and even if they went to £10 a packet she would carry on smoking as she loved them. She didnt die of lung cancer, but bless her she died happy.

So based on that, firking enjoy life, coz it's a cert, we are all going to die one day.
