Folks - this thread has been heavily pruned as a result of an executive - admin/mod - descision and a number of PM's received.  Please keep references to the lesbian/gay/transgendered community light hearted and not in common colloquialisms.

The forum team simply do not need the grief......

I appreciate your position, and will endeavour to follow your advice H21, but if folks cant take a joke I really do think they are very much in the wrong place. It has always been a refuge from the world of PC and the like here and I hope that isnt going to change. As you probably know I (and several others) am from the Emerald Isle and have seen many "iIrish jokes" posted, if they are funny I laugh at them, and you may have a similar outlook with  "jock jokes",If no offence is intended then none should be taken imo, life is too short to take it too seriously. ;)

Agree, virtually entirely.  However, one persons joke is anothers insult.

As you say, it makes no odds whether you are Irish, Scots, Liverpudlian, red haired or overly short/fat or whatever, if offence is taken in what is otherwise construed as light hearted banter then thats that.  I and others have thick skins, some others less so.

All thats asked is a wee bit of respect and no out and out name calling or the over use of degrading comments....   :y
