...and the ball is passed to Cameron
« on: 03 February 2010, 00:20:34 »

...he heads up the field with the ball.

Look, there's no goalie!

On he goes....

..wait a minute!

He's back-passed the ball!  :o :o

Whatever is he thinking?

Some people think it's all over...

What a pillock!  ;) ;D

Read the comments! Seems UKIP is going to do quite well.  :y :y

I might be tempted to say that Prime Minister Brown will carry the day by a small margin.

Thanks to the pissing about by DC and crew.

A very fair comment Richie and I think many who voted to keep New Labour in power would soon regret their decision.

Having said that I'm not particularly confident that the Tory party under Cameron will be radically different.

I think DC will walk it, Labour voters have become so disillusioned in Labour but they can't bring them selves to vote for any other party. So, they will just not vote.
Its happened before!

I can't believe Cameron hasn't got a panel of advisors behind him saying "FFS! just sit tight, stick to our core values, don't do anything stupid and the job's yours".

So, we're clearly dealing with another "President" who doesn't need to listen to advisors, colleagues or the public, practices the politics of knee-jerk reactions to yesterday's headines and, should he be elected, will no doubt be "leading useurope out of recession", "abolishing boom and bust" and singlehandedly resolving the problems of the middle east. Sound familiar?

A shame, because if there ever was a time when we needed a strong opposition....

If GB gets in, there'll be a revolution, if I have to start it myself. >:( >:( >:(

But if DC doesn't get his act together, we're all doomed, doomed I say, doomed.  What a bunch of nonentites he's collected around him - let's hope some Tories with a bit of personality and vision get elected as the New Labour rejects run for cover. >:( >:( >:(

the politics of knee-jerk reactions

Exactly K, policies formed on that basis and as practiced so assiduously by the present government and their immediate predecessors under Prime Minister Blair, have done nothing but lead this country into a quagmire of confusion and incompetence.

It's a fire brigade approach really that tries to deal with the effects of previously implemented but woefully under researched policy.

A shame, because if there ever was a time when we needed a strong opposition....

You're quite right K because now, more than ever, we need sound sensible answers to the many ills of this nation – and the government to deliver them.
