Irmscher Front Grill
« on: 02 February 2010, 23:13:27 »

Whats the fuss about them.

My Elite, which I am guesing is an Irmscher Front Grill

Below is my GLS

The GLS has more trim wrapped round the headlight where as the Elite the headlampwasher panel under the headlight is different.

So my question is, is it just a case of the Elite grill is made by Irmscher, or is it actually different.

Irmy grille has a surround of body colour with the black grill/chrome V insert, lower than Irmy has all grill with chrome V and more on the inner end of the under-headlight strip.

Think you'll find the trim under headlight is a standard shape - the Irmy grill just covers more of it!  Only difference is cut out for headlamp washers on Elite.

Your Elite grille is an Irmscher, as is the one on your boot if you look underneath, but often when people refer to an Irmscher grille, they mean the black mesh type, usually with the Irmscher motif in the bottom corner, like this .....
different car ...... but you get the idea  :y

So mine is an Irmy, ok Cheers.

I get the mesh grill idea, I would love one for the silver car had it ghave been CDX spec or highter with the fog lamps, as I think the mesh would look smart on the silver, however I dont think I would be happy with it on the Red Elite.

Just my personal oppinion.
