Online Instruction Book
« on: 03 February 2010, 22:44:32 »

Anyone got/know of a link for an Amstrad Sky+ HD box.

Cant find mine and want to have a look at the connections on the back, in particular the 2 x RF out (1+2) to see if they are male or female fittings.

TIA.   :y

Thompson box is Male in (Aerial) and female out (TV1 and TV2) , am basing my requirements on the cable fittings.as I am ordering some leads tomorrow.

Will 100Hz leads work ok on standard TV's,

I've just looked at my Thomson HD box, the aerial in is female as is the RF out 1.  The RF out 2 is male.

[edit]ignore this bold statement, both RF outputs are male, peering around the back of equipment without removing it isn't the best way to give advice ::) ::) [/edit]

Cheers Zulu.  Seems odd that RF1 (out) and RF2 (Out) are both different

It would indeed have been handy but I don't think Sky has any plans to enable them anytime soon.

They would, in all probability, want an increase in subscription to allow for equipment connected to the ports, which could be problematic should the equipment spec. not be standardised and tied to the encryption protocols.

They admitted they would only allow thier use if cable/virgin put thiers into use.
