Are we going to get "involved" with the Argentinians again?

Seems like there is oil there after all!

Could be a vote winner, didn't do Maggie any harm last time and it would be a good excuse to scale down Afghan ops and let others step up equally to the mark.

we couldn't stop the Argies if we wanted to these days I'm afraid, years of downsizing the fleet has put paid to that - just need to hope we can do a deal with them and no one kicks off  :-?

We couldn't have stopped them last time if the Americans hadn't supplied us. A couple of dud exocets didn't do us any harm either.

It's not big enough Pete. We'd need somewhere the size of Greenland.
