The digestive system and its after effects....
« on: 25 February 2010, 22:58:40 »

I really enjoyed what STWTSMBO prepared for dinner this evening - her personal version of Betty's Beef Hotpot complete with sliced spuds on the top and nicely browned.

Trouble is, I mixed it with a couple of bottles of after worke Leffe before dinner, then a glass of red with dinner, washed down by a long forgotten barcardi Gold or three whilst blasting baddies on the X-box.

Result is, mahoosively smelly botty burps.....   :-[

She will not be happy with the Scots Oven thats currently brewing, methinks.....   [smiley=evil.gif]    ;D

Apologies, forgot the slice of fresh lime and copious ice.  Will that suffice??   :-?   :)

Many of those of us who are "around middle age" suffer from burping bottom or "malabsorbtion syndrome" as it is known (forgive spelling), i suffered from it dreadfully, it is an indication of a failing digestive system/poor diet but there is a cure -

Drinking - one drink a week at the very most, 3 cups of tea or coffee a day.

Smoking - poison - stop immediately, the greatest cause of heart attack / lung disease / blood disorders / digestive problems of all.

Red Meat - avoid all red meat ever again, Chicken and Fish is ok, but avoid Spicy Sausage Pizzas, all Crisps, MacDonalds, English breakfast, anything fried, any rubbish junk food - and definately no eating out - restaurant food is full of salt, fat and other nasties.

Fish, Chicken, Fruit, light veggies, cereals, brown wholemeal bread will soon cure you of the "parps", and extend your life and well being to boot!  8-)

I was nearly with you there, prepared to sacrifice 1) for a better life.  But then I read 3). No more steak? NEVER.

Mrs TheBoy will just have to tolerate the after effects of my dining....

i personally think its a load of 'dangle berries', my dad and all my aunts and uncles are in there mid 70s.my dad is 80 in oct they were all heavy drinkers, heavy smokers, ate what they liked, grew there own veg,not the crap in the stores today andnot what they were told to eat by the cretins who know best today. didnt rely on mummy and daddy to take them to school, they walked, did national service, worked in extreme weathers and just got on with it.they were fit,my mother had to bring up 6 kids and still had 2 jobs while my dad was working away 4 days a week thats why people are living longer. how many kids of the 60s, 70s and so on will live to reach that age, not many i reckon. i know people who never ever go out. what a wasted life that is sitting watching tv 7 days a week.

The key is our parents/grandparents generation did proper exercise (rather than the 'make you feel good inside, even though it doesn't help' 2hrs at a gay gym a week).

And watching the rather telly.

These idiots think they are doing themselves so much good, but look how many use the car to drive 1 mile to the gyms ;)

I go swimming supposedly as part of my fitness - its a good alround exercise, but primarily because I enjoy it.  Trouble is, it makes me so friggin' hungry, that I'll then go and have a blow-out tea ;D
