March election
« on: 25 February 2010, 22:31:24 »

In case no one spotted my post in the Poll thread, it seems as if the General Election will be called this weekend.

Don't think so. I believe the present lot want to avoid having to present a budget.

The rumour is partially substantiated by the fact that someone who was due to appear before a Parliamentary Commission on Monday was yesterday told that "this may be the last time we will see you"...

The Tories are on the ropes at the moment and Gormless knows he missed his opportunity last time so I wouldnt be surprised if he calls a quick election very soon. :y

Who cares?  The replacements will be no different.  Even if they wanted to be different (they don't), they wouldn't be able to due to the abysmal state 10 years of New Labour has left us in.

TheBoy for PM, here's my manifesto:

Close down the NHS. It cannot be fixed or saved.
If you don't work, you lose the right to vote.
Disciplining children and teenagers properly will become mandatory.
Those convicted multiple times will be used as target practice for our armed forces.

Vote for me :D

Word on the street is 8th April.

Meanwhile:

"The latest survey indicates there will be a hung parliament, but it would be Gordon Brown who would be in the position to try and form a government as leader of the largest party."

I hope not.  :( :(
