good battery..ive got all the features on mine and dont use them,all i do is the odd text or use it as a phone

Ability to make and receive calls as Debs says. To a lesser extent text messages. If you want to take photos use a camera ::)

Also important is good reception although that is more network based (I find there is a difference between handsets too) :y :y

Originally I would have said to make /recieve phone calls, but now the camera facility could be worth a mention as you have it on you most of the time.

Ideal for that special moment, a candid pic, an accident repoert or just for fun, wouldnt be with out one now.

Too be able to withstand being switched off and thrown into the back of a draw..... after some idiot calls you at 3am and doesn’t even say sorry for getting the wrong number 3 nights on the trot !!!!

Proper Key Pad for me, although Ive used a a few PDA's and love my new Satio, still keep my trusty SE K800i with its key pad as my main phone.  :y

I've used a Samsung D900 for around three years & a Tocco for about a year. Both signal strengths in the house have always been poor & not much better in the garden (never full signal).
The other week the battery on the D900 went flat a few hours after charging & now doesn't hold its charge for long.
I have an old Nokia 8310 that i keep as spare, i bought this phone in 2002 & it still uses the original battery which still holds its charge for a week or more.
Now the signal strength on the Nokia is excellent (full signal) even in the house, that to me shows that they might have progressed with cameras etc, but the when it comes around to performance, they seem to have lost it.
When my contract is up for renewal i shall be sourcing a Nokia & hoping that it performs as well as its older brother.

battery life, ease of use, email and internet function, I like having the camera as its always handy especially with kids :y
