Can anyone tell me what this would be used for (in a garage/workshop). Sorry about pic quality. The sellotape is there to give a sense of scale.

The reason I ask is because when I had a look under the bonnet of my newly-acquired zafira, this was sitting across the aux belt. Imagine the rather damage that could have done. The service manager at EH will be getting it shoved up his arse a mouthful on Monday.

Isn't that one of those things used to twist the end of a tube (sealant perhaps)?

Its an 'ook.  Used to 'ook things....  Like aux belts around pulleys, rather than getting your fingers in the way.......

At least, its one use I'd have for it....   ;D

Seen lots of home made tools to do particular jobs.  The one pictured looks like it has a plastic covering to the handle as well as nice parrallel handle lengths.  Might be a proper tool or simply one improvised to do a task?   :-/
