Organ donation
« on: 27 February 2010, 19:46:43 »

Hi all, being a great believer in recycling and reusing components, just done something I have been meaning to do for a while, just registered online to donate organs after my death after being prompted by a t.v. ad. How many of you "out there" are going to donate, and what do you think of the about organ donation?

I seriously doubt that any of my organs would be of any use. ::) :)

They can have whatever is useful, and the rest goes to medical science.
Why pay £1000's for a funeral when we can benefit others, and those in the future for free.

Used to give blood several times a year but they don't want it now.  Take too many prescription pills, apparently....   :'(

Can`t now give, but have already gratefully received in life; will be leaving all that`s left for others, after I`ve gone! ;)

One of my dogs (Cody), is also a Veterinary blood-donor; he has saved several lives! :-*

As Albs said. If anything left is any use as spares/repairs by then they are welcome. I don't want a funeral, (been to two...awful affairs) neither did my grandmother. Traditional burials are all very well but we'll run out of room soon, our whole isle will become a graveyard...& Tesco of course.
Burn what's left & throw it off a mountain top on a windy day!!!! 8-)

For me, better to go off into the far horizon - without fuss, looking firmly forward without backward glance.
