head further round, to the end of the Lleyn , around Nefyn, Tudweiliog , Sarn Aberdaron...
better weather.... less intensely touristy camping.... and nicer people (assuming you speak welsh )
it's my home turf to some extent....
the weather tends to be better because the moisture coming in off the sea hasn't yet been forced up to colder air....
same applies to much of ynys Mon (anglesey to you)
i can do Anglesey from here in 3.5 hours no problem...
Nefyn and so on take longer by car due to the lack of dual carriageway .....
the route you show is slightly off....
best route , IMHO, is M40-M42 bromsgrove , kidderminster bridgnorth shrewsbury, A5 as far as the wrexham bypass junction just before Llangollen....
then for pretty you go along the A5, possibly around horseshoe pass if you have time, but to get along the north coast in a hurry, head straight up the A483 wrexham bypass, get off at wrexham, head to mold, and then drop down to the A55 coast road....
that'll get you on to Anglesey quicker...
if you end up heading to the Lleyn, then it depends on time and day....
in general, up to Corwen on the route previosuly mentioned, then drop down the A494 to Bala , cut across the mountain road A4212 to Trawsffynedd , then along to porthmadog , and around the coast road...
cutting across through Yfor via Chwilog if heading for the nefyn side.... it bypasses pwllheli
spellings from memory and piss poor typing excepted... ;-)
wish i was up there now frankly.....
