But right now I have the following main bits for sale. You guys get first refusal before I list on ebay tomorrow evening.

Set of 3.0 cams in superb condition. See pics. £100 + £15 postage or collect (damn heavy).
Excellent upgrade for a 2.5 V6. Instant 17-20bhp! :D



Full (including doorcards and all 5 headrests) cream leather interior for an estate (rare!) Has come out of a 1996 car and is in excellent condition. Al electrics work as they should (drivers seat heats eventually). Being a 1996, no side airbags. Seats will be cleaned and treated with proper leather feed.
£125. Collection only.
Pics once I have removed (tomorrow night)

Right now, I am sore, tired, and want a beer!

This is fun though...  ;D

I quite fancy those cams, although I would need help putting them in..

Also, if I get an M-Tek chip, would changing the cams mess it up?

Right M-Tek have confirmed that the ECU will adapt with the 2.5 chip in it, so I guess I'll be taking those off your hands if I can? :)

Dave, dont forget the frequency of tea delivery and Quality chokky biccy supply you enjoy so often at Marks, we will be there directly from work and expect the same service.  ;)

Oh, and can you ring Birmingham Weather Centre, we want the thermostat turned up a notch or two and the fans turned down.

Really? It's just a cam cover gasket change plus a little  ;)

I could probably lend a pair of hands and I've changed cams on other engines without damage..

A timing belt locking kit would be required, of course.

I was wondering if the belt had to come off, if I can borrow one Kevin I would love to take you up on that offer - I'll sort out some new gaskets, o-rings, sealant and some beers for you!  You're not too far from me either I don't think..

how far are you stripping it back Dave??

like for example, Front Suspension components? (just idle curiosity at the mo......  MOT being done today)

also you know the cubbyhole thing to the right of the drivers right knee??   the catch on mine is broken.........
Front Radiator/Air Con  Fans would also be welcome....

and the pipes around the HBV, (slight leak still there, MIGHT be a weeping pipe, )

Clips from the Scuttle would be nice ;)

and maybe the alternator....   something on mine is starting to squeak , ( could be alternator bearings)

Chris... I've done cams a few times now..

Belt does have to come off.. as do the cam sprockets and the camshaft oil seals, which will want replacing upon refiting.

They're not all that hard to fit, I'll be putting the cams back in my Elite over the next few days.. I'll take lots of pics and make a HOW2 if you like :)

Go on, buy them, you know you want to.... if you get desperately stuck fitting then you know where I am... however I reckon you'll do the job fine!

Dont fit a second ahnd alternator without replacing the bearings.....

If people want bits then get a list on here and we can get removing for you.....I have a list of bits for the project estate....

How did you get rid of the shell?

Just pad lock it to something  ::)

90 mins thats a lot of work!  :y

I may want a drivers door leccy window motor if the are the same, pre-facelift to facelift ....
