sounds like yet more unethical attempts at increasing their membership...had a look on there and it looks very commercial... not like a community at all.... :(

Think ill stick with the oofers as had valuable info from most Evan through my poor understanding of how diesel works, Im forever grateful of what responses I have had. And I bet I have tested some passions on here with my stupidness over the code 82 (injection $h!t).

Sorry your all stuck with me unless I get band :o

It would appear they are using some unethical techniques to get members. Naughty imho  >:(  >:(  >:(

I would urge all OOFers to check their profile, and make sure that the 'Hide email from public' option on the Contact Info section is ticked.

I would urge you to check similar settings on all the other forums you have signed up to as well.

Things really must be getting desperate when the forum admins take to spamming other forums to drum up membership.
forums@migweb.co.uk added to the junk mail filter ( I hope posting that addy doesn't draw them some spam of their own) ;D ;D

Had the same thing myself yesterday. It was pointed out to me by are guardian angels (admins) that I had left my e-mail open to all, in my OOF profile  :'(

Guys migweb is just as good a site here, i'm on both and use both for different things. started off on migweb but came here to get the best help with the omega as you guys are likely to have more experience with them.

Not helping them but it is worthwhile becoming a member of migweb as they are a vboa club so their membership card gives you trade prices at any vauxhall dealer plus you get discounts with many more places such as demon tweaks, chris astley, and the likes of opie oils that you get a discount with.

The site is quite a good community due to the separate regions for parts of the country or abroad, which is why i think they are pushing it more as they have updated and expanded the whole site.

If you don't like the forum skin you can change it, there is over 5 different variants iirc, as I don't like the skin you guys will see, i use a variant that is more like this forum.

The main thing that migweb is good for is parts as there is hundreds of new posts a day in the for sale section, which gives you a great choice.

And believe me I don't work for them and im not making commision on new members  ;D but its not fair to slag off a site which does a lot to help the vauxhall community and is very good for tech help and the build threads are really interesting you should have a look at a few  ;)

Does that give them the right to trawl other forums and spam their members then?
