Mandleson is a corrupt little tosser, and takes too many backhanders. If you don't backhand him, he blocks you.

I sincerely hope he dies a slow painful death, useless prick.

You are being far too kind there TB!! :D :D :D

I'd love to keep him incarcerated and castrated until the bugger dies!! >:( >:(
Agreed , a hateful (but clever) man.creature.
Imo Cameron comes across as a latter day Tony Blair - says what people want to hear, with a nice grin, polished presentation, but not much substance. I think people have had enough of that tbh.
Unbelievably, people now seem to be buying into the image of Brown the serious world leader and world authority on economics.. If it wasnt so serious it would be rather hilarious. :(

"....So, churches, village halls, charity shops and sports clubs across the United Kingdom face a new £20 million levy. New regulations by Lord Mandelson's Whitehall empire are to abolish charities’ and voluntary groups’ long-standing exemption from paying music licensing fees – hitting them with unexpected new bills just for holding events with recorded music or for playing a radio....

...Lord Mandelson’s department admits that the new levies will cost voluntary groups up to £20 million a year. Some organisations will 'cease playing music' because they cannot afford a licence, and it will hit a quarter of a million organisations – 140,000 charities, 6,750 charity shops, 66,440 sports clubs, 4,000 community buildings, 5,000 rural halls and 45,000 religious buildings."

What is it about the British way of life that these people hate so much that they're hell-bent on destroying it? They came for your pub, they came for your local post office and, from 10th April, they will have their sights set on the hub of the village...the village hall. :(

I'm glad I don't live in a village, myself. I'd be getting a bit upset now. ;)

Lord Fondlebum, again, though. What do you expect?

I think he'd prefer you address him as The Right Honourable the Baron Mandelson of Foy in the County of Herefordshire and Hartlepool in the County of Durham, First Secretary of State and Lord President of the Privy Council and Secretary of State for Business and Secretary of State for Innovation and Skills, and Church Commissioner.

Im starting to think that democracy (or at least our perverted version of it) is an overrated concept.

If I lived in a marginal constitiuency I would reluctantly vote Nu Tory to try to ensure the end of Nu Liebore. I live in a true blue area so will have the luxury of voting UKIP, to try to help pull the Tories back to the right, where they belong. :)

If Fondlebum says it is then it probably now is Vamps. He is no respecter of any British heritage/traditions/laws etc. ;)
He is the only one with enough brains and cunning to be holding the whole Nu Liebore experiment together, Brown would be ancient history by now if it werent for him, so it apparently gives him the right to do what he wants. If he wants the city of Liverpool to be in the county of Cornwall some civil servant will probably have to arrange it.
Remarkable really, considering that not that long ago he was a political pariah who had done so many dirty and illegal deeds that he dare not show his face in this country. I suppose it shows how bad things have become and how fickle and memory selective the British media and public can be. >:(

As a Guitarist/singer that had been entertaining for over 25 years, I constantly find venues are closing down due to cost of licencing, etc. Where 10 years ago they were able to offer solo acts or duos without an entertainment licence, they now have to have one to be able to have a bloke with an keyboard warble all night, or even to have a bit of "background music" whilst punters drink!!

First they came for the Pub
But i didn't speak out because i wasn't a drinker

Next they came for the Post office
But I didn't speak out because  I wasn't a letter writer

Next they came for the Village hall
But I didn't speak out because I live in a large conurbation

next they came for me
And there was no one left to speak out .

FFS !!! I'm surprised that village hall discos still exhist what with all the H&S,insurance coverage against some numpty tripping over the step or slipping on some spilt orange juice, fire, police and a more than 2 person gathering licence or however much bloody form filling is required.have you seen how much you have to fill in now for your kid to have a day out with the school.

I guess theres nowt more pressing for them to be worried about right now what with the country being in such marvellous condition.

Oooooh!!! and the Budget to look forward to.
