We have all said what our favourite films were, but what are your favourite Tv series of the last 40 years.

My favs are....
1) Auf Wiedersehen Pet
2) Judge John Deed
3) Dustbinmen (How many of you remember this?)
And yours are?....................
either i never heard of it or do you meanthe series called..common as muck..if so

GOOD LAD ME

Nope, it was actually called the Dustbinmen, Made by Granada, only 20 episodes ever made. Written by Jack Rosenthal of London's Burning fame.
And for the observant amongst us, the bin wagon was a Karrier Gamecock with a Rolls Royce rad affixed to the cab front!
 :y
It's driver also played Gerry Booth in Coronation Street IIRC.

This is the only image I can find, cannot find an actual image from tv series.

There are some really obscure ones in this post. For me as a kid at school:The Young Ones, followed by Black Adder.Any comedy around that time I guess.
Nobody has mentioned Green Wing yet.
Cold Feet was great.
Was never really into Friends but enjoy the odd one now.
Ha just remembered Blakes 7 ;that was brill!
ITV4 are doing reruns of The Sweeney now. That was proper policing...none of this community support nonsense "Excuse me could you refrain from using that language"
"Shut it you slag" was much more to the point. I'd have much more respect for the rozzas if they talked to me like that :D :D ;D
