Idiots in car parks
« on: 14 March 2010, 19:33:10 »

Don't you just hate it when someone opens their door into your car in a car park?? Got two nice marks on my previously unblemished offside rear door where some idiot has banged into it getting in and out by the looks of it.... not happy  >:(

I know what you mean mate,it also annoys me,especially when they pull up next to you,and they have small kids who just fling the back door open.Whenever i park anywhere,i makesure there are no other cars about ::),or if i cant,i makesure i wait in the car to be on the safe side, and send the missus in instead.A bit drastic i know, but at the cost of £40 to have a small dent removed, you can understand my actions. :y

A few years ago I stopped at our local 24hr Tesco. It was 2am and there were 3 or 4 cars parked in a car park that holds about 1000 cars.
When I came out some numpty had parked so close that I had to get into mine via the passenger door.
How do these people even get a licence to be in charge of a wheel barrow, let alone a car ?  :-?

Always park as far from the shop as you can. The scum who can't be @rsed to look after other people's property can't be @rsed to walk 50 yards either. :y

I have a guy where I work who always parks next to me and has 2 wheels in the space I park in - I always get in early as well so I can get a spot on the end so I can park right over but he always has 2 wheels in my bay too - no idea who it is but the first time he marks my car ( i know every mark on it) then he is getting my size 14 in the middle of his door!

My local Waitrose store has thick metal posts placed everywhere amongst the parking spaces making it very difficult to "swing out" where necessary, so having to joggle around to get in or out, my mother is 86 and has difficulty walking to the store from across the car park, there are always plenty of disabled spaces available next to the entrance, so could they legally stop me from using those ?   :-/

leave a note on his windscreen, or report him to management for innappropriate parking.

I usually park in the same spot, on the end of a row to minimise damage (it's a wide car as you know), and normally this very pretty woman in a Matiz parks next to me, so I usually never have a problem... she had a day off on Friday though, so I guess I was fair game... it was silver, whatever it was.. >:(

I always park as far away from the store a i can where it's empty & devoid of idiots & their sticky fingered children, a short walk never hurt anyone.
If it's that crowded & i spot 2 spaces i'll park across them both. Maybe out of order but so is folk opening doors or leaving trolleys against my hard earned polishing.

No problem, if she has a Blue Badge....... :y
If not then please do not park in disabled bays, those that do can, and should, be clamped...... :)

I've maybe told this story on here before.
My wife watched a local tile suppliers van driver open his door on to her Land Rover and dent it .She started to walk towards him and he jumped into the van and drove off. When she told me I called the company told them what happened and gave them a driver description , the time and registration but they denied the van was in that area and basically laughed and told me to **** off.
About three weeks later I was in a large builders provider and lo and behold what comes driving in and parks two places away from my van. I waited till the driver went in and then using my trusty ball pein hammer did exactly the same , well nearly the same  ::) as he did to ours .
Childish ? maybe, but extremely satisfying...... :y
Cost € 30 to have it removed and it's as good as new now.

There seems to be no end to it!! In the same car park today, I came back to this....

.... there's no marked space behind where I parked, so they just tucked in their Ka and left it. Yes, they are touching... guess it's time for me to find another park!  >:( >:(
