Looking at changing my satnav. Anyone have any experience of the Navman range ?

I've considered both Tomtom and Garmin, but can't warrant the price for how infrequently I need a SatNav.

I was looking on Flea-bay, but then I found this site, http://www.navmanstore.co.uk/newsite/index.php and have been pondering over the S Series, in particular the S80 3D.

The prices are way below anything else I've seen. Used Navman's are going for only a few pounds less on Flea-bay, some have even gone for more, and the Navman Store units come with a 12 month Navman warranty.

I know Navman is amongst the better known and more reputable brands, but was wondering if anyone here has or is using the brand.

I've got a Navman f45, extremely basic but I hardly ever use it anyway. What can I say, it does what it says on the tin - I wanted full postcode search and it's got all that and a couple of bits I didn't expect. You can't update it though - bit disappointed with that

Got a Navman (F20 iirc) suits me fine , rarely use it but when I need it its very handy. Quite basic but that suits me fine, being a technophobe an all that. :)

I have a Navman S100T and it is excellent, especially the "junction views" feature.

Navman S100T here too, had a navman before but it got stolen, they have been totally reliable, which is more than I can for the TomToms. Quality bits of kit too  :y :y

Slight change of plan, now looking (or also looking) at the Mio Navman Spirit 500, but can't work out if they all have 'Hands Free' capability, or whether that is only the ones with 'HF' in the model name.

Seem to have reliability issues on the screen (and no way to recalibrate the touchscreen), and a bit of a quirky interface, but otherwise do the job.  Nice and loud as well if your hearing isn't great ;)

Under £20 (exc.p&p) to up-grade your existing Navman F20, F30, F40 receive free real-time traffic updates displayed on the screen and Bluetooth hands-free calling.

If you haven't already been there try the handtec website
http://www.handtec.co.uk/    they have some well priced repackaged items with good guarantees, also a good source of satnav info.
