Fair point. :y.............but for a holiday destination in Europe I very much like the Greek Islands. Tbh I find most French people quite ignorant. Not saying they are all that way but just speaking as I have found.
My sister has an apartment in the south of France that I could go to any time, but Ive never been and have no great desire to go.

Has anyone ever been on holiday with them?
They certainly look nice.

I don't know which parts of France are nice, or which the weather is best etc etc.....

Have a look at Brittany Daz - around Carnac beside the Gulf of Morbihan is nice - good seafood, wine etc http://2009.eurocamp.co.uk/bookonline/searchResults.cfm?CFID=25399412&CFTOKEN=71285395

We went on a Eurocamp last May in Northern France. We had a fab time. The area was well kept, it was on the grounds of a huge Chateau!!
The staff were helpful and the accomodation really nice.

Will probably go again, but take our newly acquired caravan and my trusty MIG!  :)

Been on many sites that have eurocamp on them ... :)

France is a big and beautiful place ... what do you want to do ?? If you want sea and sand.. the Vendee coast, sea and rocks and fantastic food .. Brittany, Rivers and Chateauxs, and good food,... Loire Valley, fantastic mountains and rivers... Tarne Valley

and so it goes on .. and on .. and on ..  :)

I ain't into sight seeing yet I'm afraid, so the nicer weather and swimming pools would suit us  :y
Not sure to drive or get the ferry most of the way to cut some driving down :y

Most sites have pools these days, for decent weather, on the coast Southern Vendee - La Tranche Sur Mer or Les Sables D'Olonne

Inland .. anywhere south of the Loire really ... :)

Ferry wise .. my preferred crossing is Portsmouth - St Malo overnight .. then a nice drive down the west through Nantes (fantastic bridge over the Loire) keeping OFF the motorways ... French main roads are so good you don't need the boredom of motorways .. much more fun on the original roads IMHO

nice beach area, great little market, loads of places to hav a bite to eat at and a few great ice creams stands as well

Used to go here, long drive though.

http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Hotel_Review-g196598-d284176-Reviews-Camping_Le_Soleil-Argeles_sur_Mer_Languedoc_Roussillon.html

Canvas Holidays use it, Eurocamp near there.

Then found the camp site near Cambrils Spain better & cheaper.
