Off to Jersey on Saturday as the daughter wants to get married over there and wants to look at venues. I have a Tom Tom which has the UK map on it but when I checked theres nothing on it regarding the Channel Islands, tried the Tom Tom website and they don't have and don't plan to do maps of the Channel Islands >:(

Looks like i'm going to have to put up with the wifes map reading :'(

I updated the UK and ROI maps on my tomtom700 about 2 years ago for a trip to Guernsey. It does have some channel islands roads on it, not all by any stretch. but it was just about enought to get us round.
Guernsey has virtually no road direction signs.

Personal note, I find Jersey to crowded and commercialised.
I find Alderney to be desolate and unwelcoming.
I find Guernsey to be the happy medium. But it is all down to personal choice.

I hope you find a nice place.  :y

Absolutely love Jersey, have a map on my tom tom 910 for all the island, but mines quite a new one.
Its only a small place and easy to find anything. Watch the thin roads and passing places are not that easy to find.....best places are st brelades bay, st ouen, st elizabeths castle and the german underground hospital (dont miss) st aubins bay is lovely whatever the weather too.
Know a lot of locals there, if you need a bit of "local" pm me.

Don't think there will be much sight seeing, it will be looking at venues all weekend but if i'm lucky there will be quite a few pub lunches ::)

I'm working temp (well 2 years) near the Italian lakes if you need somewhere to crash, the town of Varese near Lake Luggano, North west of Milan, 20 mins from Milan Malpensa airport

Cleaning - Pass
Ironing - Excellent
Cooking - rather useless

I think I have failed on the 'find an effective wife' test
