Would T-cut work..?

Well today whilst out shopping and having mate chuntering away and me ummm well i new i was close but not that ""BANG"" ""SCRAPE"" close.... ::)

T-cut and a quick polish or insurance write off.....what do you guys think. :-[

It was actually a brick wall that sticks out....im sure the insurance will write it off,the rear door is really quite bad and the rear quarter panel has a nasty cut threw the body and the rear bottom panel scratched ect ect.

Hey im fully comp with protected no claims so im not worried in the slightest. ;)

Im sure they wont try and repair it surely....christ you couldn't blend in new paint to match 10 year old metallic can you.???  :-/

Dont be too hasty about it being a right off a body shop with a good blending scheme and someone who knows how to use it can work wonders

Why claim?  Get a replacement door, a big tin of gutty and a couple of rattle cans.

Once you source a decent painter (they are out there) get the job done properly......

Protected no claims so hoping it wont make much difference....fingers crossed.

And to be honest id rather they just write it off...im sure it would cost a body shop more to fix and respray than simply pay out. ;)

If only it worked like that.

Your base premium (ie with no NCD) is based on your risk, ie car, engine, location, parking, previous claims, prosecutions etc.

This gives them a figure, which then the NCD is applied to.

So the fact you will make a claim will bump your premium up.  They will still apply the NCD at the stated rate, its just the premium is more expensive to begin with.

Hope that makes sense...
