Lights on chime....
« on: 04 April 2007, 07:58:46 »

With the drivers door open, no keys in the ignition and the headlight turned on....where does the warning chime come from....

Its possible there are two places dependent on year of manufacture......so a quick poll to see....

No keys in ign when I tested mine.  Very strange.  It sounds to be coming from same place as the 'keys in' warning...

Both the steady buzz of the 'keys in' and the dee dah of the 'lights on' come from the same area of my car. I've never actually looked exactly where the 'keys in' alarm come from though.

What model year is yours (Is the last letter of VIN a W or and X)? I'm guessing 99 (X in VIN) due to ccrt700
