Fantastic series!! :y I was a big fan of Life on Mars but this just got better as it went on, and yes.........Keeley Hawes! :-* :-* :-*
Gene Hunt is a very similar character to Jack Reegan in The Sweeney.

Dont watch much TV but but havent missed Ashes to Ashes (thanks BBC iplayer).

Why is it called Ashes to Ashes?  Would I understand it any better if I'd seen Life on Mars?

Can't understand the couple of people saying it's absolute rubbish. :-? Come on guys.......it's not REAL!!
It's just a very entertaining bit of escapism with some good characters. As always, we all have differing opinions but if you hate it that much I really don't understand why you watch it!! :-/
