Sounds good, doesn't it?
8422 members, but about 60 "regular" contributors, of which about 25 contribute every day.
Where are all the other 8300 -odd ones??

C'mon you lot, don't just join and reap the benefits of the wealth of knowledge available here, CONTRIBUTE to the community, share your anecdotes, give correct advice, help others, and make this forum better and increace the knowledge base. DON'T just log in and take, GIVE something back too.

Even someone who posts once a week only is a "regular" contributor, but I take the point.
Some of us put up 10 or more posts a day, some a lot more, but mostly the same "old guard" and seeing there are Eight Thousand or so others, Where are they?

It seems likely to me that a number will have joined to solve a specific problem and then got on with their life.

Some will even have joined to fix a problem they lived-with on their Omega but wanted to fix so that they could sell it!

It is quite extraordinary in my view that OOF works as it does.

No harm trying to wake a few lurkers I suppose. :)

Think you're being a bit unfair there Sixstring.

I don't contribute tons myself - but whenever I've received help from other members I'm the first to post a thank you to them. And to share anything - however small - I might have picked up along the way. I've had my Omega for almost 8 years now, and only joined for real when I thought I might be able to contribute a morsel in return for all the ace advice.

Thing is - long-serving members have so much experience that my little contributions seem a bit trivial.

That's life I guess. Now look - you've made me grumpy.

Must admit, this is how I feel. You only gain a real knowledge of something when it breaks and you have to fix it. Thankfully not much has broken on mine so I have limited input but I try to advise if there is a topic that I'm familiar with, otherwise I keep quiet and observe from a distance. :-[ :-[ :y
